Wawa supports behavioral health services at CHoR

The Wawa Foundation made a $75,000 grant to support mental and behavioral health services at Virginia Treatment Center for Children at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Funds will be used to develop psychoeducation and group classes for children, adolescents and families. Classes will be offered virtually and in-person in collaboration with community partners and will be expanded based on interest and need.

Over the years, the Wawa Foundation has funded a variety of CHoR services and programs including respiratory therapy, cardiac surgery, traumatic brain injury, Child Health Research Institute and the Center for Inherited Muscle Research. As a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals member, CHoR has also received more than $200,000 since Wawa’s partnership with CMN Hospitals began in 2003. Wawa is also a Mission Partner with our Corporate Champions program.
